Howdy, friend.
A quick one. For Earth Day this year, I decided to draw a spate of frogs. Why frogs? Besides being endlessly fascinating (hello, almost 360° vision!), frogs are bioindicators of a healthy ecosystem. Unfortunately, frog populations are dying off at alarming rates due to habitat loss, pollution, climate change, and disease—their permeable skin makes them especially sensitive to environmental changes.
Frogs' decline is a reminder of the broader environmental challenges we face, like climate change and ecosystem collapse. There are many fantastic ways to donate this Earth Day to help address these issues, but one I love is The Nature Conservancy. They’re even offering a 10x match on donations for Earth Day!
If you can’t donate, thinking about our actions and culpability and vowing to make small but meaningful changes is a great way to help our froggy friends.
Ribbit. ♡
